  • Little wax seals for our invitations, but wait, they aren't normal wax seals, they are made of wax, pre-pressed and have a backing like a sticker

  • Oh dear...what detail haven't I obsessed over! The bigest one is probably the color blue. Seriously! I have this certain color of blue that I like and it has to be the EXACT shade, no Tiffaniy blue, no robin's egg blue; only a pale steel/grey blue. Crazy, I know!!!

  • So far I would say my bridesmaid and maid of honor invitation and the stamps that went on them when i mailed them. Along with trying to find our monogram.

  • I've spent months debating with myself over whether to wear heels or cowboy boots and have done alot of research on the two. I still havent decided, and my dress is so long you wont be able to see them anyways!

  • I have debated on whether to wear bright colored shoes for the wedding or go with plain jane white shoes. i have gone back and forth everyday

  • I would have to say all of our stationary (invitations, save the date, thank you cards, mailing labels, envelopes etc). It has also been the most time consuming as well ;)

  • My nails. I bite them, so I want fake, FI wants my nails natural, ie. for me to nip the habit or to go as I am.

  • The Save-The-Date cards. I finally just ordered some because I was obsessing so much on making my own awesome custom ones that is was getting so close to the wedding date as to defeat the purpose.

  • My invitations are going to be the most detailed item for my wedding. I am going to have them printed in Vietnam and have a family member there ship to us. The invitations are going to be printed in two languages Vietnamese for the groom's side and English for my side. The invitations are going to be a tradition red with gold engraving on them.

  • With a small budget I can't be obsessed with to many things other then getting a good deal. But I want our pictures to look great so we have both been whitening our teeth now for a while.

  • Truly, the smallest detail that my love and I have gone back and forth on has been the time of day for our wedding ceremony. And that's sad considering our only options are between the hours of 12-2 pm (for our ceremony to begin). We are trying to get the party over ASAP. We chose 2 pm.

  • I am going to wear my cowboy boots with my wedding dress. I have told many people about my idea and I get the "what the heck are you thinking" look but it is who I am and I am going to do it. The boots resembles who I am and so much more...plus I can dance the night away in them without having my soon to-be-husband hear me complain all night about my feet hurting :). I am an Agricultural Science teacher (FFA) and my fiance is an accountant...even though we don't have much in common the boots resemble how much he supports me in what I do. He loves the idea of me wearing my boots on my wedding day.

  • My font. I want everything to be in the same font and I can't make up my mind on what font to use! Who cares?? Like anyone will remember what font was on our invitations 20 years from now!

  • I have loved the small, special details the most of all my planning. I haven't stressed or driven myself crazy over them, I have simply enjoyed being creative with my fiance to discover ways of displaying who we are as a couple in an effort to share that with family who may not have had the opportunity to know us the length of our relationship. We're using a wanwisa slice of wood to hold our rings instead of a fussy pillow, because we both love nature... the favors will be a donation to the nonprofit we're both involved with and samples of coffee and chai (our favorite drinks)... there'll be a chalk board guest book... because we write eachother love notes in chalk all the time, etc. The wedding isn't an event to make extravagant as much as opportunity to be creative and celebrate who you are.

  • I have obsessed over the type of candy to include in our favours. We are having a spring themed wedding so I was looking for something that has very bright colours, tastes light, fresh and sweet and isn't going to break the bank. It also has to please 175 people, many of whom won't like something too sweet or anything with a twinge of sour. I couldn't settle on just one that would be perfect so I have used 3 different types.

  • The wedding colors. I start trying to think of complementing colors, the right time of year, what flowers would go well with the colors I chose, etc... and then I go back to square one!

  • I've been thinking every day about having my divorced (and remarried) parents and step-parents all in the same room together for 2 days straight... There's family drama on the groom's side, too... :) Yay for our Big Fat *Divorced* Families...
